Hehe, when Aries releases new songs, it’s a fantastic day. The mysterious musician has finally added the finishing touches and his permission to his first release since his sophomore album, Believe In Me, Who Believes In You, and it is a monster after teasing his most recent track, “SNAKE EYES,” for the greater part of 2022. Warm, seductive vocals by the California native accompany a rush of guitar riffs as “SNAKE EYES” opens. He sings, “By the way, I’ve never let these thoughts see the light of day,” in the catchy opening line, alluded to as though he had previously been reluctant to discuss his opinions on the song’s subject but that he now wants to come out and be open.
As he says, “All of these snakes in the wild / I’m boutta lose my brain, tell me, who gon’ save me?” in the catchy chorus, Aries transitions into an uptempo, alternative explosion of sounds. With his trademark earworm hooks and songwriting structures, he crafts a dance-inducing song that showcases his ability to effortlessly glide over any beat with his soulful, dynamic vocal tone. He does this by utilizing saturated guitars, melodic synth work, and an explosive chorus co-produced by Wyatt Otis and Pharaoh Vice. “SNAKE EYES” is Aries’ first single following the release of his highly successful album Believe In Me, Who Believes In You in 2021, as previously indicated.
