Debi Derryberry’s well-known for voicing Jimmy Neutron, but on ‘Go to Sleep’, she reveals her more gentle side. Her fifth kids’ album is the first time she’s recorded lullabies. Cozy, serene, and loving, ‘Go to Sleep’ was created to help children unwind and fall asleep in a relaxing atmosphere. A great addition to anyone’s bedtime rotation, adults will also love it.

“Go to Sleep”, the title track, is a sweet and mellow lullaby that follows someone through a bedtime routine. Slower breaths and a clean break from the day’s worries. “Slumberland” is a more ethereal, like a dreamy saunter into a child’s mind. Curious, playful, and sprightly, “World of Wonder” animates the small critters around the world. Snails and caterpillars have never had more wonder. “What Does a Good Night Feel Like” is a warm, kind lullaby with soft moonbeams, toys, and pillows.
A cute remake, “Nose” is like a light and funny peek into the nose-niverse before the flowery “Sail Away” takes over. Seascape soundscapes of floating driftwood and ocean critters take us even further away from reality. “I Wish You Could Fly WITH Me” sounds so heartfelt and caring it’s like listening in on a parent-child wish. In the Arms of “My Rocking Chair”, co-written with Stephen Michael Schwartz, rocks and rocks, like an ancient lullaby. As “Hush Little Baby”, a traditional folk song, ends the album, the simple tones feel as familiar as nursery rhymes. ‘Go to Sleep’ is a gentle, quiet way for families to end their day.
