Swedish musician Brian Bee Frank steps into a new creative chapter with his solo EP Chasing the Dragon. After decades performing in bands, the release marks a personal and reflective moment in his career, presenting a collection of songs shaped by experience, introspection and a clear passion for classic songwriting. Recorded in Sweden, Chasing the Dragon blends thoughtful lyricism with straightforward rock sensibilities. Much of the project was created through remote collaboration, giving the EP a modern production approach while still keeping the music grounded in organic performance. Notably, the project avoids the use of AI, relying instead on the traditional craft of musicianship and songwriting.

The EP opens with “Hate,” a socially reflective track that addresses the growing divisions in modern society. Drawing inspiration from the peace-and-love ethos that defined much of the 1960s, Brian Bee Frank delivers a message that feels both nostalgic and timely. The song’s theme centres on the question of how a world once inspired by unity and optimism has drifted toward hostility and separation. Another key moment arrives with “Time,” a reflective piece that explores the fleeting nature of life. The song carries a contemplative tone, reminding listeners how quickly the years can pass and encouraging a deeper appreciation for the present moment.
Elsewhere, the EP continues to build its narrative through tracks such as “Living in the Changes,” which captures the feeling of adapting to life’s constant shifts, and “Shake It Loose,” a track that introduces a lighter energy while encouraging emotional release and personal freedom. Closing track “Let Me Come Home” provides a heartfelt finale, bringing a sense of closure and reflection to the project. Having previously fronted bands including Rapid Tears and Killer Bee, Brian Bee Frank’s solo debut represents the culmination of more than five decades in music. With Chasing the Dragon, he delivers a sincere and personal collection of songs that reflect both his musical roots and his evolving artistic voice. Thoughtful, reflective and rooted in lived experience, the EP offers listeners a glimpse into the mind of an artist who continues to create with passion and purpose.
