Rosso Tierney returns with “FEEL,” a high-energy alternative rock single that combines distorted guitars, heavy drums and a soaring guitar solo with a deeply human question about connection. Released on 18 September 2026, the track draws strongly from the guitar-driven spirit of 90s rock, particularly The Smashing Pumpkins, while bringing Tierney’s own melodic and emotionally direct approach to the sound. Written in 2024, the song explores what happens when two people care about each other but experience the same relationship in completely different ways. At its centre is the simple plea, “Tell me that it’s real / I want to feel,” which captures the uncertainty running through the song.
Rather than turning that vulnerability into a quiet ballad, Tierney gives it volume and urgency. “FEEL” pushes forward with punk-edged energy, powerful drums and prominent guitars, eventually opening into a full guitar solo that adds another layer of release to the track. Produced by Sam Graves and recorded at Innersound Audio in York, Tierney performs the lead vocal and all of the instrumental parts apart from drums. His wider musical influences include Foo Fighters, Asking Alexandria, YoungBlud, Mick Ronson, Ozzy Osbourne and The Struts, and those influences sit naturally alongside his established connection to punk and rock. His experience in DIY punk bands, touring across the UK and Europe, and his current role as singer and bass player in Sema 4 all contribute to the lived-in quality of his solo work.
The accompanying music video expands that feeling into a cinematic setting, filmed on a huge former Second World War runway in Yorkshire. Directed by Tierney and filmed by Steve Pickett and Chris West, it moves between Tierney driving a vintage 1970s Oldsmobile Delta 88 and performing with a guitar and Marshall stack positioned in the middle of the runway. The warm yellow and orange visual palette gives the video a vintage road-movie atmosphere, complementing the track’s expansive rock sound. Ultimately, “FEEL” takes a complicated idea, the difference between loving someone and making them feel loved and turns it into something immediate, loud and emotionally open. It is another chapter in Tierney’s solo work, where personal experience, vulnerability and resilience continue to shape the music.
